Off to Switzerland - thanks to Wadhams

A remarkable barn find is being given a new lease of life thanks to the team from Practical Classics and J R Wadhams Ltd, who are the sole parts supplier for the magazine's new Rover 80 project car. The picture shows the car as it takes its first trip under its own power for over 34 years having lived in a garage in Finchley for that time.

In two weeks, the car will attempt a marathon trip to the British Car meet in Morges, Switzerland as part of a major magazine feature. 'Thanks to Wadhams, we might even make it!' Editor Danny Hopkins commented as he stepped from the car after its first run... the next few days will see the car MoT'd and the start of its two week shakedown period. 'There's some bodywork and tidying to do,' said Danny, 'but I know the car is fit.' Read the full feature in the January issue of Practical Classics.
